I bought a Lavender plant back in the spring. It hasn't bloomed yet.Is this normal? How do I get it too bloom?

This is normal, as long as the plant seems otherwise healthy. Nursery stock is often forced to bloom in the early spring to make it more attractive to potential customers and quite often it is not acclimated to outdoor conditions. Mainly just the shock of transplanting them can cause them to not bloom. I have had some plants take 2 to 3 seasons to bloom. There is nothing you can do except take care of the plant and wait until next season.

LAVENDER IS A PLANT WHO LOVE THE SUN!!!!!NEVER PUT WATTER UNTIL THE SOIL IS NOT DRY!!! SOIL MUST BE SANDY ,NEVER PUT ENGROSSMENT!!!COURSE IS AN OUTDOOR PLANT. CHOSE FOR LAVENDER A SUNNY PLACE PROTECTED BY A WALL. CUT ALL THE PLANT FROM 15-20 CM OF SOIL AND NEXT YEAR YOUR PLANT WILL MAKE MANNY BUDS.IT EXIST ONLY A TYPE OF LAVENDER WHO DO NOT RESIST IN WINTER OUTSIDE:LAVANDULA STOECHAS!!!!!!GOOD CHANCE!
Reply:It needs proper sunlight, water, and plant food to bloom. Also, it depends on where you live as to when it will bloom. Here in the southwest, lavendar is losing its blossoms, to prepare for winter. You may wish to consult your nursery.
Reply:Lavender never blooms until the second or third year so be patient.
