Is it possible to grow sun flower and lavender in tropical area with high humidity?

I wanna grow some in my front yard, that would be lovely if it's possible.

It should be possible to grow both as long as they are planted in an amended soil that is water retentive. Both do like the sun. You could also add a layer mulch to keep the roots cooler. I would suggest that you consider planting a dwarf variety of sun-flower which grows 3 to 4 feet. The standard varieties grow to 6 or 7 ft. plus, and often need to be staked which may not look too pretty in a front yard; but that too depends on where you plan to plant them. Just something to keep in mind.
Reply:As long as you get enough sunlight, you can grow sunflowers. I had some in Hawaii. Lavender I'm not sure of.
