I have a lavender plant in my back yard and I would like some ideas on what I can do with it? I know there are endless possiblities. I just need some suggestions.

You can try drying it out and smoke it
Reply:Definitely hang some up to dry to make potpourri or sachets for the winter. Also you can simmer some in an old pot to make the house smell nice. Try simmering it for hours to reduce, then filter to keep an nice lavender water on hand, you can use it as a spray later. Of course they still look good in flower arrangements.
Reply:it makes good popuri and your house will smell great. also if you crush some fresh lavender and mix it with water 3/lavender 1part/water. let it sit in a close container for about a weeks or a little less if you want and it works like a spray to use around the house for a lavendy smell it also helps sooth you and calm and relax you and anyone in the house
Reply:Ummm.. you can put it in little fabric sachets [made by you] and use them to freshen up your drawers and wardrobe and make them smell like lavender.

Reply:Cut the end of a old pair of stockings, put some lavender inside and tie up. Put in clothes drawer, hang in closet, put anywhere really.
